Two mail art pieces I sent to the Bocksbeutel Mail Art Call last year will be exhibited in Hammelburg at Viehmarktplatz in the building of Schreinerei Heinickel (a former carpenter’s workshop in Germany). This curious group exhibition features over 800 artists each responding to the shape of the Bocksbeutel – a typical franconian wine bottle of the region. If you happen to be in the area the exhibition (which is free!) opens from the 4th June until 17th July, further information can be found here:

The pieces in question are two card-backed flexi-discs shaped as the bottle, both are featured on the ‘Anti-Releases’ page and the Mail Art Bocksbeutel website….

In addition to the exhibition these lovely artist stamps created by Roland Halbritter (organiser/curator) documenting each work were also made:

Cassette Player in a Dishwasher for One Minute
is featured on the 32nd CD of Mute Sound’s long running 1 Minute Autohypnosis Project compilation/mail art series.
The title of my contribution is very self explanatory; listeners have the opportunity to hear a cassette player recording its own watery demise in a satisfyingly noisy way! This was recorded around 2009 when I was working as a Catering Assistant and had access to a large commercial dishwasher. There’s plenty of other great works to check out on this compilation, which is free to download directly from Mute Sound HERE

A collage / mail art piece of mine is currently on public display as part of the “A House Travels Around the World” group exhibition at the Museum Malerwinkelhaus Marktbreit in Germany from 26th March – 1st November 2015.
To accompany the exhibition a wonderful 88 page colour catalogue featuring all 400 works by 180 participants has been published!

My submission can be viewed here:

Further information on the catalogue and exhibition:

I was very kindly invited by Roland Halbritter from the Museum Malerwinkelhaus in Germany to submit a mail art piece to an upcoming exhibition at the museum in 2015. The piece had to be an interpretation or based on the wonderful timber frame building. I created a collage using images of existing UK museums and collections to construct a semi-abstract version of the Malerwinkelhaus. You can view my submission and others online prior to the exhibition in 2015:

A new sound-themed postcard/collage and audio track will be featured in the exciting group exhibition ‘Postcards From The Edge’ organised by Rebellious Edge Projects.
It will be held at the Juxtaposed Gallery in London and previews of all submissions are currently online. Look out for our Ridge & Scrase postcard and solo submission from Elizabeth as well!:
