Happy new year everyone!
Firstly I will be performing/testing (as Zebra Mu) a new piece of work titled ‘Wire Scratch Brush Music’ as part of Jamboree Norwich.
The piece explores the sonic properties of two wire scratch brushes that include plucking, scraping and vibrating them. Doors open from 7:30 and other performers include Damsel, Winter Berries, Johnny Dawn, Mao’s Dynasty. It’s free too!

Secondly over the next few months this blog will be fully updated to include better information on past and upcoming performances, artwork and releases. Expect some exciting new developments in 2012!
I am very pleased to announce the release of ‘Antler Faced’ my full length album for 2011 released on the wonderful Ilse!
“Inventive and dynamic harsh noise from UK sound artist and circuit bender Michael Ridge.
Ridge, who graduated with honors from Norwich University College of the Arts, has built an impressive discography spanning numerous labels including his own Quagga Curious Sounds, his recent Extinction V 4 cassette earning praise from Byron Coley in The Wire.
Antler Faced is a very strong 40 minute work with beautiful cover photography by Tracy Widdess (Brutal Knitting)”-label description
