Lathe Cut Record

This has taken over a year of planning but FINALLY I’m now accepting pre-orders for GX Jupitter-Larsen / Zebra Mu Split 1″ lathe cut record on Quagga Curious Sounds!

This is likely to be the smallest lathe cut I’ll ever release, possibly even one of the smallest in the world. 110 will be made, ironically it is the most copies I’ve ever put out too! This dinky thing will feature an exclusive (and very short) track from GX and myself. Expect a spoken word piece from GX and experimental noise/drone type composition from yours truly. Each 1” will be nestled in fold-out artwork and other packaging delights….

Prices are (GBP):

£5.50 (UK)
£7.75 (Europe)
£8.90 (Worldwide)
PayPal/contact: mike-ridge[AT]hotmail.co.uk

Estimated time of release upon writing this post is about 6-7 weeks, they will be dispatched to you on the day it is out.

**PLEASE BE AWARE** Expect a handmade and extremely experimental lathe cut record (45 RPM), monstrously lo-fi and stupidly challenging to play…. EXCELLENT!

Just over a minute of focused Harsh Noise and squawking electronics cut onto 5.5″ square pieces of recycled clear plastic, originally used to package venetian blinds! A highly experimental and very lo-fi lathe cut record, a lot of surface noise is present and sound quality comparable to a picnic plate lathe cut or old 78.

Every copy features B&W artwork/information printed onto pearlescent bronze paper. Each record is housed in a white paper sleeve with artwork printed in green ink.

Released on Quagga Curious Sounds in an edition of 11 hand-numbered copies, unfortunately these are now sold out!

I’m very excited to announce the release of my split with the legendary Noise project Torturing Nurse – all crammed onto a tiny 3″ lathe cut record! Expect two super short tracks of horrible lo-fi frantic Harsh Noise weirdness! Play this to take your mind off recent world events!
Front and back B&W cover art is printed onto clear acetate and housed inside a clear CD sleeve. Small rubber-stamped stickers are mounted onto each lathe and secured onto red pearlescent card; additional B&W art/cut-outs are printed onto yellow paper.

This is released on my label Quagga Curious Sounds, you can purchase a copy directly from myself:

**PLEASE BE AWARE** this is a handmade and highly experimental/lo-fi record! These seem to play well on older turntables, odd models and those that play to the spindle.

Trick Reflection

Trick Reflection

I’m thrilled to present Trick Reflection on Quagga Curious Sounds. This custom made 2” lathe cut record contains two new Zebra Mu tracks of woozy experimental noise sourced from a circuit bent keyboard and tricked out echo pedal.
Each black lathe cut record comes in a zip lock bag with b/w fold-out artwork printed onto yellow paper. Every copy is packaged in a blue velvet drawstring bag with a random advert cut-out from a 1940’s newspaper.

**PLEASE BE AWARE** this is a handmade and highly experimental/lo-fi record that will likely only play on older turntables, odd models and those that play to the spindle .

This can be purchased directly from me, prices which include postage prices are:
