Borderline: Art Heroes

Art Heroes
This was a 20-minute performance at the Stew Gallery exploring 8 artists who have made us what we are today.
My chosen artist was Cory Arcangel who was a big influence on my earlier works. I re-enacted/reinterpreted a segment from his piece “Old Friends” (a modified DVD where you can see Simon and Garfunkel bicker from a 1981 concert in Central Park) this involved (as Paul Simon) pacing about flustered and awkwardly/slightly aggressively shaking hands with members of o/o/o and the audience. A portion of code written by Arcangel for the piece “Super Mario Clouds” was also scrawled on both arms….
